Rotorstorm is no longer just a memory!

The arrival of my DX Time Force Megazord was indeed special to me.

However, the item I got today from xr4x4rs has more of a nostalgic meaning because its something I have fond memories of as a kid.

That item is none other than the G1 (or was it G2?) Turbomaster called Rotorstorm.

This toy was one of the few Transformers I actually owned back in the day along with Defensor (which was the beginning point of me getting into Transformers) and Prowl (whose toy was the first to piss me off even at a young age).

I can't remember where and when I got my old Rotorstorm, but I do remember playing with him a lot during the visits to my nan and granddad's place on the weekends, where you could find me sitting on the sofa just having fun transforming him from his robot mode into vehicle mode and back again many times over.

Yes, the guy is a total brick. But he's also a brick I'm glad to have in my possession once again.

Beyond all Space and Time for a marvellous bargain

Nemmy has just received a delivery from rogerrabbit1966, and this one is a really special one.

As you can see, I got myself a Deluxe Time Force Megazord complete with box, instructions and a promotional leaflet for the truly fucking amazing price of £3.98 (well, £9.73 if you want to include shipping)!

And on a side note, you can also see the other Masterpiece MP-1B Convoy Black Ver. metal plate and pouch I got from po_lu_si (yes, I actually paid to get the damn freebie this time because I couldn't be arsed to deal with anymore hassle regarding the second Masterpiece Black Convoy that didn't arrive with it either).

But enough about that, I want to focus on the Megazord instead.

I've always liked the look of the Time Force Megazord (a.k.a. TimeRobo), but my interest in it increased even more after I finally got the chance to see TimeRanger (the Super Sentai equivalent of Power Rangers Time Force) subbed in its entirety.

Of all the older Super Sentai series I wanted to see, TimeRanger was at the top of the list. Why? Mainly because I managed to learn of its existence before Power Rangers Time Force was even a twinkle in Saban's eye (okay, slight exaggeration, but I think you get the point).

TimeRanger just looked like a really cool concept at the time (how can anyone not like the futuristic nature it had?). The suits were cool, the weapons were cool, and the TimeJets with their three modes of transformation (TimeRobo Alpha, TimeRobo Beta and TimeJet Gamma) were also undeniably cool in my eyes.

But the coolest thing of all was the introduction of a second Red Ranger. You may know him better as the Quantum Ranger; I prefer to remember him as TAIMUFAIYAA!!! (sorry, I couldn't resist doing that. I meant to say TimeFire).

To cut a long story short, my recent watching of TimeRanger lead me into wanting (and of course getting) this Megazord. Now if only I could get my hands on a complete TimeShadow for the combined Shadow Alpha and Shadow Beta modes, that'd be really awesome!

We need Constructicon power now!

Damn, this is like the third day in-a-row I'd had new toys now.

Firstly, I got two parcels from xpwongagex and Kapow Toys (via Amazon).

Those contained a MMPR 2010 Yellow Ranger and an Animated Swoop (Nemmy is really liking his Animated lately, huh?).

And they weren't the only things I got today...

Because I also got the Revenge of the Fallen (Legends Class) Constructicon Devastator from the new Argos catalogue.

For Legends sized toys, these are amazing simply for doing what their larger brethren fail to do!

Hell, I was impressed with Devastator enough to include him in the photo I took of my now complete team of MMPR 2010 Rangers.

Are you ready to rock?

Just when you think I've had my fill of Animated toys yesterday, I get another in the post from baronvontree.

And the one I received today was Animated Electrostatic Soundwave (Ah, screw that name. He's Soundblaster dammit!).

Unlike some, I didn't buy this purely for the Ratbat keytar. I mainly wanted ol' Soundblaster here because he's a black repaint in-spite of the fact its more of a darkish grey than black in colour (kinda like Animated Skywarp really).

But one of the best things about this repaint is that I can have him doing a jam session with his partner in crime (or to put it another way, himself)!

Awesome Animated toys and a cool looking repaint

I was graced with the delivery of two parcels today.

One parcel was from dackhater2005 (a.k.a. Kapow Toys), and the other from Toys 'R' Us.

And inside those parcels were these lovely toys.
  • Animated Blurr
  • Animated Swindle
  • Universe Classics Darkwind
  • Animated Samurai Prowl
  • Animated Waspinator
  • Animated Wreck-Gar
  • Masterpiece MP-1B Convoy Black Ver. metal plate and pouch
The metal plate and pouch was very kindly sent to me from Kapow Toys after I enquired about the Masterpiece Black Convoy I had bought from them not having it.

An unwanted Pink Ranger finds a new home

Nemmy had a rather unexpected surprise today.

An acquaintance of mine gave me their MMPR 2010 Pink Ranger they no longer wanted (they're a fan of Kimberly, but thought the new downsized MMPR 2010 toy of her was a bit of a let-down).

Well, I'm not complaining as it came complete with the accessories and even the packaging.

Also, it brings me one step closer to my goal of having all the basic MMPR 2010 Rangers.

Bludgeon is here for your soul!

A parcel I've been waiting for from Kapow Toys finally turned-up today (damn you, snow!).

But enough about that, what did this parcel contain?

Well, it had the much desired Revenge of the Fallen Decepticon Bludgeon.

And yes, you can believe the hype surrounding this toy cos Bludgeon damn well deserves it.

His transformation beats the shit out of Universe Classics Galvatron (not much of a challenge I know). He looks like fucking evil incarnate in robot mode. His bladed weapons are awesome, the way they can stored is awesome, putting them into his hands isn't so awesome (because their too damn tight!).

So all in all, Bludgeon easily gets the accolade for being one of my favourite toys from RotF.

Superion requires some new appendages too?

Today has given me a Stocking Stuffer delivery from TFSource (and no, I haven't fallen victim to the credit card security issues they're facing at the moment thank fuck).

Like I said when I got my Aerial Team Appendage Add-on Kit last year (man, it feels weird saying that), I went out and purchased the Snowman Version of the kit.

The only real difference between the two (besides the colour) is a Zero Hour comic plugging their upcoming Warbot Defender (he's Springer dammit!).

Was that comic the 'bells and whistles' this exclusive was planned to have? It seems rather cheap if that's the case.

Ah well, at least the real meat of the package didn't fail to impress.

As soon as it arrived, I grabbed my SL Superion and started putting the parts on him so I could take this comparison shot of him with the already decked-out RotF Superion.

Of the two, I think I prefer SL Superion with the Snowman kit just a tad more than RotF Superion with the original kit.

I kick-off 2010 with an Animated repaint

After not having any post for nearly a week due to all the bloody snow we've been having, I finally got my first acquisition of 2010 from The Entertainer.

So I've officially started this year's worth of collecting with Animated Skywarp.

For the price it isn't bad, but the mould seems to be showing signs of degradation already.
