This bad boy deserves the name Grand Liner!

Fewer items came this week, but I can say it allowed me to make steady progress with Chapter 5 of ef - a fairy tale of the two.

Thursday, phat-badger, I firstly received Deluxe Supertrain Megazord.

I finally got the one Megazord from Lightspeed Rescue (a.k.a. GoGoFive on the Sentai side of things) I ultimately wanted (that isn't a black repaint), even more so after a certain someone (he knows who he is) got theirs for free!

The only gripes I have with mine is it doesn't have the antennae for Rail Rescue 1 and Rail Rescue 2, one or two missing stickers, and one of the clips on the detachable front piece of Rail Rescue 1 is broken (but it still attaches securely enough).

Apart from that, I'm very impressed with this Megazord. The Rail Rescues when coupled together as trains are roughly twice the length of Fortress Maximus' Battleship mode (which makes Travelion cry), and when formed as the Megazord they're around the same height as King J-Der (which makes Travelion cry yet again).

Thursday, lbh1876, I secondly received Revenge of the Fallen Mudflap.

Unlike his greener twin, I'm not so keen on Mudflap as his kibble gets in the way in robot mode, and he doesn't really lock together too well.

To put it more simply: Skids superior, Mudflap inferior!

Mercy is not dispensed here, fools... only RAGE!

I thought it'd be a quiet week this week, but ended up receiving quite a few deliveries.

Besides that, I finished the Elis and Kiri routes in Canvas2, and there's also Remember11 for me for to do when I get a spare moment.

Wednesday, rosarybox, I received figma Meiya Mitsurugi.

I knew next to nothing about Meiya when I first saw the figma of her, but after playing (the now translated) Muv-Luv Extra and Muv-Luv Unlimited, you could say it sparked my interest.

I didn't care much for her role in Muv-Luv Extra (it was a little too stupid at times), but once I got to Muv-Luv Unlimited, that pretty much convinced me to buy this figma of her.

One minor complaint I have isn't about the figma itself, but the screws of the stand... mine have RUST on them!!!

Thursday, Kapow Toys, I firstly received...
  • Generations Darkmount
  • Generations Red Alert
  • Generations Blurr
  • Generations Cybertronian Megatron
  • Generations Cybertronian Soundwave
  • Generations Dirge
I've only opened Blurr, Dirge and Straxus (Darkmount my ass!) thus far, and I'm really loving the awesomeness of Straxus. His third mode is rather shitty, but all is forgiven in robot mode.

Thursday, db_toysgarden, I secondly received DX Chogokin S.M.S Transformable Space Attack Carrier Macross Quarter.

I had a £13 eBay voucher to use and I couldn't really think of anything I seriously wanted, so I took a gamble and decided on the Macross Quarter (Well, I did rewatch Macross Frontier recently).

The box arrived a bit worse for ware (thank fuck I wasn't intending to keep it MISB), but the contents of Quarter itself were fine once I opened and assembled it.

Although I'm quite impressed with it, transforming the thing is a right pain (those shoulder joints are shockingly tight, so tight it requires excessive force to move them.), but for the price I paid I'm not too displeased with it overall (I might be if I paid full whack).

Friday, littlewoods-clearance and Amazon.co.uk, I received...
  • Revenge of the Fallen Autobot Skids
  • Escaflowne Complete Collection
Skids was bought because I found him cheap, but after opening him up and transforming him I was actually pretty damn surprised at how good he is (and now I want his blasted twin!).

Also, I FINALLY received my fucking Escaflowne from Amazon after waiting and waiting for the bloody thing to arrive!!!

So as I pray, Unlimited Brave Works!

After what seems like over a year (even though it was a little over 9 months from its Japanese cinema release in reality), I finally got to watch the anime movie adaptation of Unlimited Blade Works and I enjoyed it for what it was (a means of seeing some of my favourite scenes in animated form). However, I still prefer the pacing of the route in the Fate/stay night VN (the movie trimmed out some of the slice of life parts I really liked).

Other than that, I'm STILL waiting for my bloody Escaflowne! Basically, Amazon won't do fuck all about it until the 13th, and I find that rather annoying (they fucked up, not me).

But on a more positive note, this week's haul measures exceedingly high on epicness meter.

Monday, crosszgundam, I received...
  • GaoGaiGar & Goldymarg (Reissue)
  • G-14 DX King J-Der
  • G-04 DX ChoRyuJin
  • G-08 DX Big Volfogg
  • G-16 DX GekiRyuJin
  • G-13 DX Mic Sounders the 13th
  • G-03 DX GaoGaiGar Base
In one fell swoop I have managed to acquire a large portion of the GaoGaiGar toyline. I was bloody lucky to get these, and dammit, this right here is easily one of the proudest moments in my years of collecting.

I've been a fan of the show for years (and have been pimping it ever since), but nothing tops having the characters you've come to adore in their original toy incarnations, especially in the condition these arrived in. All of them are MIB (barring Big Volfogg, GaoGaiGar and Goldlymarg who were MISB) with stickers not applied (and they'll be staying that way), and better yet, none of them are the Sonokong releases (not that I would've minded too much).

And because it just has to be done, here's the Saikyou Yuusha Robo Gundan (or Strongest Brave Robot Corps when translated) in one glorious group shot.

Now for some brief thoughts...

GaoGaiGar - He's rather simplistic compared to the CM's Brave Gokins I own, but he's a lot more chunky and solid. The only thing I dislike on him is the GaoLiner not locking in-place when you slide it into GaiGar.

ChoRyuJin - The first of the Symmetrical-Dockers, and they've already won me over. The indivual robot modes for HyoRyu and EnRyu are nice, but the real selling point is when you combine them into ChoRyuJin. He's big, he's imposing, and he has some big ass tonfas for weapons!

Big Volfogg - Volfogg is one of the weaker toys in the line-up in my honest opinion. In robot mode he's very blocky, and I hate transforming his legs because they're very awkward. GunDober and GunGlue aren't that much better. Big Volfogg is the sole saving grace in all this, and even that has its flaws.

Goldymarg - Ah, Goldy. Oh how I planned to have you as a permanent Goldion Hammer for GaoGaiGar until I realised you were simply too damn big and weighty to be kept that way. You're not too bad by yourself, but I truly wanted you as my GOLDION HAMMER!!!

Mic Sounders the 13th - The smallest guy of the bunch, but that doesn't make him any less awesome. And now that I think about it, you should already know how awesome Mic Sounders is without my needing to tell you!

King J-Der - Quite possibly the biggest brick of the lot, and I don't even care. I mean c'mon, he's King fucking J-Der! There's no chance in hell of me not liking him when he's one of the coolest things I remember about the show. Hell, I'd even go as far to say that he's the one I was looking forward to owning the most.

GekiRyuJin - There's not much to say here as FuRyu and RaiRyu are basically the same as their combined 'brother' with a few remoulded parts and new weapons to replace the big ass tonfas. Even so, having the option to interchange him with ChoRyuJin to form both GenRyuJin and GouRyuJin is a pretty damn awesome in itself.

Tuesday, simonh9362, I received Build Tiger.

My week of Brave acquisitions isn't just limited to that of GaoGaiGar, but J-Decker too. Hence I now have a Build Tiger (which is comprised of McCrane, Power Joe and Dumpson), and for a partsformer he's very nice (if you dismiss McCrane's head peaking out near the crotch). But I do have to admit his colouring makes him look like he's been Tango'd.

Ideally I'd also like a Drill Boy so I can form this guy into Super Build Tiger, then he might not seem so dwarfed in size when placed next to the Saikyou Yuusha Robo Gundan.

Raging Crystal Primes and a lot of NO, Thank You!

This is going to be such an awesome way to start a post cos Nemmy is already extremely fucking pissed off! Why I hear ask? That would be because Amazon had posted my order of the Anime Legends Escaflowne DVD last fucking Saturday (the official date of release was Monday) that I'M STILL FUCKING WAITING ON TO ARRIVE!!!

Seriously, why the fuck is it taking so long to arrive (just thinking about it is making me even more pissed) that's what I'd like to bloody well know?!

Not only that, but those fuckers at Customs tried (and gloriously FAILED I should add) to sting me on the following haul from Japan. Even so, the bastards still managed to delay the delivery of it by a day while they were fucking around in their attempt to extort more money out of me! This time however, I got the winning hand and WON! WON!! WON!!!

Anyway, that's enough ranting (and the dropping of F-Bombs) for now, it's time for the haul itself.

Thursday, Fan2Fan, I (firstly) received...
  • Revoltech Three-stage Transformation Valkyrie VF-1J Max Ver.
  • figma Yui Hirasawa
  • figma Tsumugi Kotobuki
  • figma Ritsu Tainaka
  • figma Azusa Nakano
  • Revoltech Three-stage Transformation Valkyrie VF-1J Milia Ver.
  • figma Ui Hirasawa
  • figma Saber Alter
  • figma Black☆Rock Shooter
  • Nendoroid Snow Miku

Thursday, Fan2Fan, I (secondly) received...
  • Good Smile Company 1/7 Saber Lily ~Golden Caliburn~

Thursday, Fan2Fan, I (thirdly) received...
  • Transformers 2010 Henkei Sons of Cybertron
  • Transformers Animated Encyclopedia
  • Transformers 2010 Animated Sons of Cybertron
  • Animated TA-38 Wingblade Optimus Prime
Although this isn't a bad haul by Nemmy standards, it will seem a little weak in the face of what I will be receiving (provided it gets here without interference from those fuckers at Customs) that'll make some folk pretty damn envious (all I can say is remember the oath sworn through courage).
