Getting down with a Brake and Lock

Another delivery from Kapow Toys has arrived.

It contained Revenge of the Fallen Brakedown and Lockdown.

My first impression upon seeing Brakedown in his packaging was "man, this guy is small". I knew Scouts were small, but he feels somewhat smaller than other Scout Class toys I own.

Despite his small size, Brakedown has an interesting and fun transformation. I'm not too keen on his foot design though.

Lockdown on the other-hand is pure badass.

His robot mode looks just as cool as he did in Animated. The car mode really reminds me of the vehicles you get in Carmageddon. His transformation can be a little fiddly when the arms pop off.

Oh, and the rear bumper that becomes his arse can get in the way of posing his right leg.

01 and his second Boost Phone

Yes, Nemmy's back again showing off another purchase he's just got his hands on.

From the recent Keitai Sousakan 7 sale HobbyLink Japan were (hell, I think its still on) having, I got myself the Boost Phone Analyzer.

Basically, this little guy is an add-on for Phone Braver 01 (ru ru ru) that gave him some special networking abilities (the other Phone Bravers can use 01's Boost Phones, but he most likely wouldn't allow it).

And as a special treat, here's a shot of 01 with both of his Boost Phones, Demolition and Analyzer.

Even Bruticus can't escape the wrath of misassembly

These deliveries from Kapow Toys and boutik247 should have given me nothing but a high, but that isn't the case I'm sad to say.

Today's items are Revenge of the Fallen Jetpower Optimus Prime and Universe Classics (or again, Revenge of the Fallen depending on which packaging you get) Bruticus Maximus.

The Jetpower Optimus Prime is a specially done 2-pack with Buster Optimus Prime and Jetfire sporting some notable differences from the Buster Optimus Prime and Jetfire I already own.

Hell, they look so damn nice in the box that I'm thinking of keeping these bad boys MISB (and if you don't like that, Nemmy says go buy your own!).

Now we move to the repaint of Bruticus Maximus, and the main gripe I want to voice about it is...

FOR FUCKS SAKE, HASBRO!!! WHY CAN'T YOU BASTARDS ASSEMBLE THESE BLOODY ENERGON GESTALTS CORRECTLY, HUH?!

Seriously, needing to fix the Superion repaint was bad enough. But seeing that Onslaught's legs were assembled WRONG the very second I lay eyes on him and needed to be switched around pissed me off.

Then as if to add icing on the cake, I get a Blast Off with a assembly error so unbelievably bad it can't be fixed with a screwdriver.

Yeah, they totally fucked up the assembly process with the metal pin of his left foot so it hinders the functionality of pretty much everything!

As a limb, it's difficult to use the Energon weapon because the point of connection is too misaligned. And in robot mode, he's unable to stand straight because he has one foot further down than the other.

Just what the fuck is the deal with this shit?! My Super Link Superion and Bruticus never needed to be put right, so why the fuck do I need to correct these blasted repaints of them?!

You have to love the big boxes these small figures arrive in

I just received a small delivery from HobbyLink Japan.

It was this Portrait.Of.Pirates Mugiwara Theater Nico Robin.

Again, like when I got my Nami, there's not a lot I can say about a small scale anime figure.

My Animated Dinobots get their Snarl

Today I get to complete a trio of characters thanks to this delivery from timmoone.

You might have guessed it already, but yes, Nemmy got himself an Animated Snarl.

I know the packaging says Snarl, but seriously, the dude is Slag! He's a bloody triceratops! How can he NOT be Slag?! Okay, the way the tail transforms is like Snarl, but that's all.

Issues with the name aside, this toy is pretty neat. The transformation to robot mode was more involved than I thought, as I kinda pegged it being another Saidos from Galaxy Force.

And here he is with his fellow Dinobots Grimlock and Swoop.

Man, he looks like a right little brute next to them. All they need now is some stupid nature to fight!
